It's a cloudy, gray day here at CMU so I figured some spring inspiration was necessary. I completed this project for a class a couple of years ago, but it epitomizes my idea of spring so well I always go back to it. This is one of the only projects I have with all the files saved from inspiration to finished project. I wanted to mix prints and textures so I chose a gingham print for the skirt and a yellow eyelet fabric for the top. Looking back I remember I had to make a collar and sleeves so that is why I chose a peter pan collar (not one of my first choices, but classic all the same) and gathered sleeves (one of the easiest kinds to set in!!)
